The Career & Technical Education (CTE) Advanced Opportunities program provides high school students the ability to earn college credit, through Dual Credit or Technical Competency Credit, while still in high school. The program allows students the opportunity to earn college credit at their high school, online, on-campus, or once the class is complete. By participating, students can get a jump-start to their college education and gain career skills for in-demand CTE careers.

In partnership with Lewis-Clark State College, high school teachers incorporate specific technical competencies and skills into the classroom so that students have an option of offering dual enrollment for students to receive credit at the same time high school credit is earned or request credit after the skills have been demonstrated and once students matriculate as a degree-seeking student. By participating, students can get a jump-start on their college education while at the same time save money. Technical Competency Credit costs only $10 per credit for high school students who qualify.
