Early Childhood Special Education

The Early Childhood Special Education minor prepares individuals to work with young children with exceptional needs in early childhood settings. This program prepares generalists, not specialists in any one area. Students interested in this minor will need to integrate the special education courses into their program and complete a 6-credit internship. This minor does not lead to endorsement in K-12 Special Education.

This minor is intended for students who are completing the Early Childhood Development AAS and General Studies: Early Childhood Education BS/BA programs. Students desiring additional information should contact a member of the Special Education faculty within the Division of Teacher Education and Mathematics.
