Political Psychology Minor
LC State’s 21-credit minor in political psychology examines the psychological underpinnings and consequences of political behavior. Political psychology involves an interdisciplinary, social scientific approach for understanding political attitudes, emotions, information processing, and political belief systems. With roots in political science and psychology, political psychology connects to a broad range of other disciplines including sociology, economics, communication, business, and education. The minor is open to all students. It is designed to enrich, complement, and/or supplement the formal education of a student’s major. Those interested in acquiring a minor for teacher certification should first consult with their academic advisor and the Teacher Education & Mathematics Division.
