Middle School Social Studies Minor
This minor is only available to Teacher Education majors. Students seeking Idaho’s Social Studies – Middle
Level (Grades 5-9) endorsement with their elementary or secondary certification must take coursework in
History, Geography, American Government, Political Science or Economics. Students must also pass the
Praxis II exam #5089: Middle School Social Studies. State of Idaho Teacher Certification requirements are
subject to change. Students should contact their Education Division advisor to ensure compliance with current
certification policies.
