Nursing RN to BSN
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is a dynamic baccalaureate program with a pre-licensure track and completion tracks for currently licensed Practical (LPN) and Registered Nurses (RN). The RN to BSN track is offered in a fully online format with practicum experiences that can be completed in the student's local area. The RN to BSN student will develop and expand knowledge and skills delineated by professional nurse roles. Students participate in selected learning activities to further develop an understanding of the art and science of nursing. The program provides an educational foundation for continued nursing study at the graduate level.

BSN Program Outcomes:

Accreditation
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791 and is approved by the Idaho Board of Nursing.
Admission and Degree Requirements - RN to BSN Track
- Completion of pre-program requirements (includes an earned associate degree in nursing from an accredited university or college and completion of all General Education requirements).
- General LC State admission requirements.
- Submission of completed application to the Nursing & Health Sciences Division. See the NHS Division web site (www.lcsc.edu/nursing) for admission criteria (TOEFL, GPA, verification of RN licensure in ‘good standing’, prerequisite coursework) and deadlines.

Note: Upon completion of the admission process and verification of passing the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN®) and thus holding the RN license, the RN student is admitted to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. A maximum of 30 semester nursing credits are held in escrow until the required graduation check (semester prior to graduation). - Elective credits must be numbered 100 and above. This may include transfer courses, nursing escrow credits, or general electives.
- Completion of associate degree in nursing and pass of NCLEX required for full admission to the program.
- A minimum grade of "C" is required in each nursing and nursing support course. Students receiving a grade of "C-" or below are required to repeat the course and earn a "C" or better. In the case of NU courses, students must apply for reentry to the program.
