Kinesiology Minor

The Kinesiology minor is designed for:

  1. An individual interested in motor skill development and physical activity in a variety of related careers including sports administration, sales, recreation, social services, and journalism.
  2. The prospective teacher who, with another subject major, may wish employment with K-12 or 6-12 physical education as part of the teaching load.  Specific coursework required for endorsement. To qualify for an Idaho 6-12 Physical Education Endorsement, KIN-381, ED-447 -Content Methods: PE, and an approved teacher education program must be added to this minor; for a K-12 Endorsement, KIN-216/ED-216 must also be added. Students must also pass the Praxis II exam #5091-Physical Ed:Content Knowledge and must complete a supervised internship in a school setting.  Students should contact the Teacher Education Division for more information.
