Web Design ITC
This certificate prepares students with the skills necessary for working in the field of web design and management. Course work includes applying web technology standards into web and application development projects. Successful students will be able to work in development teams and communicate in the web design and development industry. This certificate also prepares students to continue their education to earn an AAS or BAS degree in Web Design and Development.
Upon completion of the Web Design certificate, students will:
- Understand the roles of web design and web development.
- Demonstrate ability to administer web sites and domains.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the differences between internet browsers.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of contemporary, standard driven, HTML and CSS.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of JavaScript along with popular js libraries and frameworks.
- Work and communicate effectively in a virtual as well as face-to-face team environment.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of web-based graphic design, photo editing, and design layout.
- Understand contemporary technologies and emerging technology patterns.
- Understand the role of social networks, ad-campaigns, and search engine optimization and technologies.
