Fire Service Technology BAS

Participants must be members of a paid or volunteer fire department. Technical skill training and certifications are offered through fire departments. Once the required trainings and certifications are acquired, fire service technology credits can be transcripted. Students then complete the General Education Core classes and apply for an A.A.S. degree in Fire Service Technology. See the program plan area for the major requirements.

BAS Requires the following:

o    Earned AAS Degree in same major as BAS

o    Gen Ed Core 37 credits

o    AAS Program Courses Max. 50 credits (Note: this can be less than 50 credits)

o    BAS Electives 33

o    Total Credits Required for BAS is 120

General Education Core

Intended for active volunteer and paid firefighters. Participants must be members of a paid or volunteer fire department to enroll in this program. Except for the required core courses, classes are scheduled through the State Division of Vocational Education in Boise.
