Center for Arts & History
The Center for Arts & History’s mission is to connect campus to community and the world through education and experiences in arts, culture, and the humanities. The Center provides students and the region with a unique opportunity for cultural enrichment, reflection, and education through exhibitions, events and special programming. The Center for Arts & History is home to art and historical exhibits, lectures, readings, and other humanities based academic presentations. The Center often features works from regional and local artists. Admission to gallery exhibitions is free, however donations are encouraged. Memberships are also available for students and the community.
The Center is home to a permanent exhibit of a historic Chinese Beuk Aie Temple, which depicts a part of Chinese religion for hundreds of miners and support personnel who came to Lewiston and the regional area in 1865 following the discovery of gold.
