English as a New Language (ENL) - Teaching Endorsement, Grades K-12 Minor

This program is for individuals who wish to obtain an English as a New Language (ENL) Minor. The program is designed to prepare regular classroom teachers to effectively meet the needs of students for whom English is not a primary language. The on-line and on-site series of courses and field experiences are designed to prepare students to pass the required Praxis test for ENL (English as a New Language) or ENL English as a New Language) necessary for State of Idaho ENL endorsement.

When combined with an approved teacher education program this minor qualifies for a State of Idaho "English as a New Language (ENL) K-12" endorsement. Students must also pass the Praxis II exam #5361-English to Speakers of Other Languages.
